Jahlieh

It's spring! Meaning all the rivers and waterfalls are in action! Also, the temperatures are rising and we are crawling out of our shelters.

So this is what I keep wondering. How come in Lebanon everything is about Beirut? And not just that, but why is everything about "which restaurant to go to" or "where to go drinking". Wasting a sunny day to go to a mall is just... wrong!

This and this are two must see places this season by the way (because... waterfalls!)

I've been trying to discover some "new" spots and here's one. Jahlieh is located in Shouf and there's a river, a small waterfall and a very nice drive.

3 reasons to visit
 1. We were wearing jackets and some people were swimming. It's that tempting.
 2. Everything is so green and not crowded.
 3. It's a great place for hiking

I'm on a hunt to find more places to visit... Any suggestions?

  1. Parev Sarine, nice pictures. I've been at this place before but have lost the owner's contact number. Do you happen to have it? Thanks in advance.

  2. Hey, thank you! The place in the pictures is public, so there was no owner. The place facing here did have an owner I think, but I unfortunately don't have his number.

    1. By saying owner I actually meant the person keeping on with reservations as we did reserve last time to take a group.. Thanks anyway!

  3. Ibrahim river is one of the best I've seen in Lebanon and try to get as close as possible to the source. Last I heard is that they closed of that area since it's dangerous. But the river is cold, and the rock formations in the middle of the river have naturally been smoothed into seating areas.

    1. I don't know any places in Nahr Ibrahim that aren't a "private property". There's one, but it's full of garbage (check earlier posts). I need to find the place you're talking about!

  4. Parev. Try to go a little bit up. There r more calm and beautiful restaurants and views. There is a restaurant in kfarhim called جسر القاضي. Its amazing. U can go picnic there too. In the opposite way, there is a valley and there is a resort. U also cab go further up to baaqline. The restaurants near river. U can walk on the top of the waterfall on the edge. Crystal blue water. Bt dnt go to baaqline with a new jeep, go with sthg u dnt mind getting dirty. U can also walk to the inside. Amazing natural pools and waterfalls tht will take ur breath away.
